Collaboration in practice
The Robotic Blending Focused Technical Project brought together the Steel Founders’ Society of America, Iowa State University, Yaskawa America, PushCorp, and SwRI. The team combined foundry knowledge, research, equipment, and software expertise to demonstrate robotic casting finishing at Fisher Cast Steel and contribute improvements to ROS-I’s open-source Scan-N-Plan tools.
